Business & Workforce Recovery Solutions

Your Disaster Recovery Connection

Project Summary

The Louisiana Nonprofit & Small Business Assistance Program grant project for Business & Workforce Recovery Solutions was entitled The Southwest Louisiana Education and Employment Assistance COVID Recovery Project (SWLA Ed & Employment Assistance Recovery Project). The LA Department of Revenue (LDR) provided the grant funds for this project to provide educational assistance to individuals impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Focus was on developing educational and employment assistance programming that can provide clients and participants with a comprehensive view of how to improve life (personal, business, workforce, other) when dealing with the COVID pandemic and other disasters. The featured educational event was our LA Disaster Recovery Conference hosted virtually in March 2022.

For more details and educational programming, please see:

Although our LA Disaster Recovery Conference was opened statewide and to anyone who could connect virtually or attend a Watch Party in Southwest LA, the main service region for this project was the five parishes in SWLA including Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jeff Davis. The project audience included people from all walks of life.

This project funded by the LDR Nonprofit grant included collaboration with the Southwest LA Recovery Project for Small Businesses, Workers, and Families that was mainly funded by the United Way of Southwest LA.

In addition to the LA Disaster Recovery Conference webpage, for educational and employment assistance resources, please see our Resource Document Library and Additional Resources sections below.
